Due to large no of applicants The Examination Style is also Changed.
Now Examination will be conducted in two stages.
Stage 1 test will be held for all candidates on 15th December as scheduled but in morning and evening shifts.
Each shift will consist of half of the total candidates in each category. The allocation of shift in which the candidate is to appear will be random. Top candidates equal to five times the number of posts in each category, will be picked up from the merit list of each category of candidates, from each the shifts.
All selected candidates who are to appear in the second stage test will be informed by way of email, sms and the result displayed on the website.
These candidates so chosen,(which will be totaling to ten times the number of posts) will be required to appear again for the second stage examination which will be held on January 12, 2014 in Chandigarh. The pattern of exam will remain the same for the second stage test. Final category wise merit list of these candidates will become the basis for final selection for these posts.
It is clarified that the marks obtained by the candidates in the first stage will be counted only for qualification purposes for the second test. Candidates will not be required to apply or pay fee again to appear in the second stage test.
All candidates will be receiving confirmation mail and SMS regarding acceptance of their candidature to appear in the test scheduled for December 15,2013.
Examination Style : The question paper will be provided both in English and Punjabi. It will have 150 questions each carrying one mark as per the details given below:-
a) Language Proficiency
1. Punjabi – 13 questions
2. English – 12 questions
b) General Knowledge – 25 questions
c) Mental Ability / Reasoning – 50 questions
d) Mathematical Skills – 25 questions (With Matric as the difficulty level)
e) Computer Proficiency - 25 questions
1. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
2. The duration of the examination will be 150 minutes.
3. Minimum qualifying marks for candidates of all categories will be 35% (Thirty five percent) of the total marks
